Hidden in the alley behind M'tucci's Bar Roma. Live music, burlesque or a magician, Monday through Thursday.
3. Vernon's SpeakeasyNorth Valley · Steakhouse · Reservation + password
A steakhouse behind an unmarked steel door. You need a reservation and the password, and you knock three times.
4. Daydream Rum BarNob Hill · Rum bar · Tue–Sat from 5 PM
Up a staircase inside Little Bear Coffee. It won Best Bar Design in North America. Walk-ins are welcome, and reservations are recommended.
5. Happy AccidentsNob Hill · Cocktail bar · Daily 5 PM–12 AM
Most of the spirits are distilled in-house, and it just made the Top 500 Bars in the World list. There are private karaoke rooms too.
6. Farm & TableLos Ranchos · Dinner · Tue–Sat 5–9 PM
Dinner on a string-lit pergola looking out at the restaurant's own farm, which grows a lot of the menu.
7. Apothecary LoungeEDO · Rooftop · Hotel Parq Central
Go for sunset. The rooftop looks at the Sandias one way and downtown the other.
8. Casa Rondeña WineryLos Ranchos · Winery · Daily 12–7 PM
The daytime date. Wine by the pond under old cottonwoods, and free music in the tasting room many days.
Tablao if the night is planned. Happy Accidents if it's last minute, since you can walk in.
